The beginner classes for Balboa and Shag are designed especially for participants with no prior experience, as well as for those who would like to refresh their basics.
This level is the highest level and by invitation only. If you are on a high level and want to join send us an email to info@worldofswing.com.
Workshops can only be booked on a daily base. Each day consists of 4 hours of classes.

Over the course of the weekend, the teachers will cover important topics such as footwork, turns, rhythm, variations, and most importantly—the joy of dancing! They will tailor their course content to the needs of the different levels.
Our studios have parquet flooring. Make sure that you bring shoes with a slippery and non-markable sole (leather soles, suede leather etc.). Rubber soles are not very useful for Balboa!
The use of powder, wax, or tape on shoes is not permitted in the studios. Unfortunately, wax was used last year, which left the floor dull and caused unsightly black stains. Please help us avoid such damage!
Because of the close embrace in Balboa, we recommend bringing extra T-shirts, towels, deodorant, a toothbrush, etc.—and please make use of them. Your partner will appreciate it!.
Video recordings during class are not allowed. However, if the teachers agree, you may film a short recap at the end of each class.
Since Balboa and Shag are lead-and-follow dances, teachers will rotate dance partners during the workshops. Whether fixed couples are allowed is up to each individual teacher.
